Holy Moly! Is that the thing in your sig pic? I don't think I've ever seen a bumper-pull trailer that big. The thing is monstrous? What did it weigh loaded?
Yup, that's it. Weighed up to 18,000. I hit some freezing rain last spring though, and when I struck the guardrail the frame snapped.

Take a look at that orange thing on the front of your trailer!
It is a hitch that, instead of the trailer pivoting on the ball like a normal hitch, makes the pivot point move forward to a virtual point, during normal travel, closer to or even in front of the rear axle of the truck. That is called a Virtual Pivot Point hitch.
See this post by member Ron Gratz for a quick explanation and diagram.
You might want to also see this thread, which is stuck at the top of the Travel Trailer forum for more information.
The two VPP hitches that are available for purchase at this time are the Hensley Arrow and the ProPride 3P (Pivot Point Projection).

ksd wrote: Well, I just took the plunge and ordered a 3P hitch. It will be going on a used 2008 Salem LA 312QBSS that I am picking up next week. The trailer is 35'6" long with a GVWR of 11,000 pounds, so I decided that it made sense to invest in the very best anti-sway hitch I could find. I'll let y'all know how it works out. As soon as I install it, I'll be towing the trailer 1,000 miles back home, so I'll have plenty of windshield time to see how she behaves.
You will not be disappointed!!!
I got one in the spring....well worth it!!!

I installed the 3P on my new TT today. It took me a little longer than I had hoped it would, but less time than I had feared. I had about five hours in the install, including the time it took to go to a hardware store for additional chain and hardware to lengthen my existing safety chains. My only real difficulties were one hole on the left jack mounting plate that was slightly mispositioned (liberal use of a 5 pound persuader got the bolt through, anyway), and not quite enough clearance in the crossbar downtubes for the yoke extension to slide between them (solved by placing a bottle jack under the yoke extension and forcing it up).
So far, it is towing very well. I didn't get the WD bars set quite right on the first try. The front end was feeling a little light to me, so I cranked them up a little bit. That seemed to improve things, but just to be sure, I had the rig weighed. To my surprise, I was at 2800 pounds on the front axle and 4800 on the rear (7500 on the trailer axles). That's within the ratings of each axle, but I still obviously had too much weight on the rear axle, so I cranked the bars up another couple of inches.
I was pleasantly surprised that the 3P came with a number of very nice tools. I now have a nice ratcheting wrench, 1/2 inch breaker bar and 15/16" socket to add to my tool chest.
