The first day on the trail we did a trail called Imogene pass but weren't to get over it because of the snow the night before.

Here's a some of Imogene. We took Black Bear into Telluride, then up over Imogene in one day and camped at ~10,000' on the Ouray side for the night. The wildflowers are gorgeous in July!

Maybe some day while we are dragging our Jeeps around we will bump into one another. That would be great.

Dome, man, you're killing me here. Great pictures. I love that whole Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Pagosa Springs area.
Thanks.

Here's a couple more pictures of town. I wanted to get the thread to the front again so maybe one of the moderators could put the thread on the trip page.

There are so many cool building. Truely a neat town to visit.

NEET is a government classification, first used in the United Kingdom but whose use has spread to other countries, including Japan, China and South Korea. The classification is "Not currently engaged in Employment, Education or Training". Longer definitions are available at wikipedia, etc.

I think Ouray is ALSO a neat town to visit despite the slackers obviously there.

Even better than a visit is to live in Ouray. We moved there from Nenana, Alaska in 1989, primarily looking for a good place to raise our daughters. They were 10 and 12 respectively when we moved. Just an outstanding community in which to raise kids. In those first years, the town shut down and was somewhat a ghost town in the winter. But now they are trying to get a year around economy going with different activities going on such as ice climbing, etc.
Don't believe that moving to Florida, after living in Ouray for about 10 years, will ever make the list of the 10 smartest things I have done in my life.
We spent most of the 10 years we lived in Ouray on one remodeling project after another on this 1891 built, Victorian home we purchased when we got there. Ouray gets just over 12 ft. of snow a winter on the average, the past winter was double that amount. Christmas time in Ouray is like something out of a story book.

Rick, I had time on my hands so I read your previous posts... you have a lot of time on your hands too. You must be an editor or teacher. You correct a lot of posts. I always understand the corrected writers original posts... usually they are typo's. The corrected writer was often offering something with substance... not just exhibiting their typing or spelling skills.

I'll be reading your posts with new interest.
