Just got back from Ouray, I went to a Jeep Jamboree. Great time and what a placce to vist. Here some pictures of the area.
This the RV park I stayed at.

The town is realy something, no supermarket or box stores.

The sights are awsome.

One of the many mines.

Our group getting ready to head for the high country.

We parked in Ridgeway and Montrose over Memorial Days.

I see the San Juans got some of that snow we got in the mountains over this way. I just love the early season dustings for the look it gives the mountains. Nice photos....great place!

Great pics Dome. That is an awesome place to be sure! I was there in 1998 and again in 2006. We ran this "road" on the 2006 trip. In the last pic, it's 2000 vertical feet to the valley below.

Fantastic pictures!! I'm jealous as was on the 4X4 only "roads" above Ouray in 1994. My Chevy Blazer was up to the task!

Looks like they get quite a crowd for Jeep Jamboree. Thanks for sharing the pixs!

Happy camping! ..... And off-roading!

The first day on the trail we did a trail called Imogene pass but weren't to get over it because of the snow the night before.

Loved the photos. Thanks for sharing. Colorado is one of our favorite states to visit. So many picturesque mountain vistas and in the fall the aspens really make for beautiful postcard photo opportunities.

I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.
