Does anyone know where replacement camper screws can be found? The white square head screws on the outside of the camper seem to be a size 8, but have the thread count of most size 10 screws. The ladder screws have an even more course thread. I want to replace them all with stainless steel phillips or square head screws, but cant match them up.

Take a look at Mcfeeleys.com. They have a large assortment of SS screws.

I just got some phillips pan head screws as close in size to the originals I could find. Worked fine. Then I painted the heads with a white paint pen.

We do have industrial ACE hardware in the city with marina that carry all assortment of stainless steel screws. Even metric.
Check the marinas, or hardware story near by.

Take one in to a real hardware store (NOT a big box lumber yard)and have them determine the thread diameter with their guage. I know from several years dealing with commercial construction that if you go back in to the original hole you MUST use the next diameter larger screw so that it will re-form new tight threads. Otherwise vibration will back out the new ones quickly. A good hardware store can determine the thread type as well. Go back in with the same type just next size larger. If it is a #8 go back in with a #10 etc.

Hope it helps.

Bought me a box of them at a local RV parts supplier. I bought a box of 25, and you can get different lengths.

First the white is nothing more than paint.. As for the square head, that's because of the screwdrivers they use at the factory, Any head will work so long as you have the matching bit

2nd http://www.tradesmenfastener.com/ is where I go for anything I don't find in my hardware store.. Now, if you happen to be in my neighborhood, Come and shop there.. If not.. Well.. There will be a company much like 'em in most any city of size. In fact I think they are part of a chain (But alas my contact within the store is no more (RIP) having succumbed to natural causes)
