Oh to have been born with a silver spoon in my mouth. These Unicat RV's are something else.

We saw one at the end of the summer last year up here in Canada. Very cool to see one in person, they look pretty mean and tough.

Unicat, eh? Not a bad idea. We have duocats now, and it's hard to keep up with their appetites and keep the cat litter boxes clean. A unicat would be less expensive and produce less cat waste.

(Sorry, I just couldn't resist. The Unicat chassis is by Unimog, one tough vehicle! I drove one quite often while doing farm labor in Germany.)

Actually Unicat's most popular chassis is MAN. The picture above is a Volvo. But they still do a few Unimogs, either U500 or 5000.
I have tricats and a Unicat. The tricats require a lot of brushing and litter box cleaning but the Unicat is still more expensive to feed.

Useless for offroading in Alaska. It would be stuck good, within 50 feet after it got off a hardened surface up here. The weight of the rig would be it's detriment. I have an all wheel drive m/h, and pickup as well, but they are only good for bad roads, not offroad. Better off to spend the extra money on ATV's, if you want to go exploring offroad.

I agree. But I didn't buy the U500/Unicat for up here (though it's been in a ways at Eureka), and it's not as bad "offroad" as it would seem due to CTIS and good sized (47" tall by 15.5" wide) tires.
I got it for a RTW trip starting in nice, dry Australia.
What kind of AWD MH do you have?

Charlie,
Sounds like you are in for a real excursion. It should be a great trip. How long is your journey planned for? I can't imagine the Unicat going in past Old Man Creek, at Eureka. Did it? I have a Scotty, on a Dodge Chasis, and my offroad capabilities are limited to the side roads and gravel pits.
Have fun on the RTW Trip.
