Anybody remember link? We had that luggage set, only in a tan color, from our wedding in 1973. Two years ago, after many air and cruise miles it finally got smashed. We saw the damage as it came around the carousel. Took bag directly to customer service and made a claim. Three weeks later a new $375.00 piece of luggage was delivered to our house.

In Dec. last year I had a lap-top computer power cord disappear from my luggage. Did not see this until I got home. Called airline immediately and had a file opened. I had to make a written report and fax it to headquarters. Five weeks later we got a reply in the mail stating that they were denying my claim.

In the letter was the explanation that the airline had adopted a no liability stance meaning that since, hypothetically, everybody could claim something missing from a bag, they will just turn their back towards these claims and say, not my problem.

I'm 100% in the other direction, we had Dish Notwork any time there was a cloud any near our home out went the dish, or the picture would pixelate (SP?) and if I called them they would send a guy out realign my dish and charge me a $45 service call. After 4 years of this I had them turn the service off, BTW they never gave me any credit on my bill but Time Warner has!

The dishonest person is the reason the honest people get the shaft in cases like this. I did some insurance adjusting for a few years a while back and you would be surprised at all the fraud people try and pull. And then when people file a legitimate claim they wonder why they have to go through the run-around. It's not right, but the fraudsters are what causes it.

Yes, the State of California. Long story but I'll keep it short. Besides I already posted it a few years back.

Registered a vehicle with the State of CA, then later found out it was not able to be registered (state revolked the registrationafter I had paid for it, long story).

I sent a letter long with all necessary paperwork asking for my money back and was told NO. I also received a letter saying the DMV is not responsible to provide accurate information about any vehicle. I even sent a letter to Arnold himself, then received a return letter from the State of CA DMV Administrator, basically saying the same thing. Never did get my money back.

The last year I worked, before retirement, I made 63 flights on AA. They tore up two suitcases. They are not responsible. I have a ton of Advantage miles and upgrade points that will go to some charity, as I do not plan to have to fly anywhere again. DW quit AA after 39 years there because she disliked the company and they way they treated employees. I think that is typical of all large corporations not just United Airlines.
A buddy of mine quit because he didn't like it anymore at Continental Airlines after 22 years and 22,600 commercial hours in the air, 1st officer/captain combined, DC9 and Boeing 737. I told him he probably isn't going to find another job pushing 60 years old where he could replace the $180K a year he was pulling down. All I want is American to fix my luggage they ripped.

I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.

The cable company has NO RIGHT to cut the service wiring within your home. Once the signal enters the box on the outside of the house, it is YOUR wiring beyond that. The ONLY thing the cable company has the right to do is cut the drop from the pole to your house. Who says so? The cable act of 1991 does!

I have installed several cable TV systems for people in their homes using the proper distribution amplifiers and terminal blocks. Doing this job is not cheap when done properly. All the CATV hardware is private equipment owned by the homeowner. If the cable company came in and cut your cable lines into your bedrooms, you have the full right to sue them for the cost of re-wiring your home! They damaged your property!

Please add Ameriquest Predatory mortgage to this list of thieves.

I was with them 5 years and had a hefty prepayment penlty that ended then. They wanted to make sure I could not get refinanced by anyone so they started pulling my credit so it would show many inquiries. Astonishing, I counted up
to 60 times and stopped counting. Ask them to knock it off 3 times, they "didn't know what I was talking about".
I had a better way to get rid of those thieves and liars. I sold my house and
closed 3 days after my 5 years were up. It's ok, I sold at the top of the market.
I later joined the massive lawsuit against them and we won!! Nice check came in.
Now, as it turns out, they were very responsible for adding to this wave of
foreclosures and immoral and unethical financing. They ruined many lives.

High ranking PREDATORY lenders.

Sure you can trust the government......

Funny how state laws and regulations always work in favor of the state. One of the big problems with agencies such as the DMV is they are not allowed discretion in enforcing their rules. There was probably a legitimate need for this rule, but once they put it in place there is no room for selective enforcement based on the individual situation. This is one problem with any program that government runs.
