I've been searching for the AmeriCamp web site and it doesn't come up. Does anyone know if they are still in business?

Man, is there a head count of those who were building as of the first of last year. There was no way the number of builders out there was going to make it. It was just too easy to open shop I guess. Often this happens in an industry where the kids get mad at dad, employee gets mad at employer, etc and move down the road and set up their own shop. The results are nearly always the same regardless of the industry.

55 outings and 22k miles and mine is holding together well. And yes, unfortunately, Ameri-Camp did not survive.

May have been a little like the kids get mad at dad. Founded by a group of former Carriage RV employees in 2002, but they started out building quality trailers.
In 2003 and 2004, in its first two years of business, Ameri-Camp was given the National Recreational Vehicle Dealer Association’s Quality Circle of Excellence award. This award is given to the manufacturer that produces the highest satisfaction to the customer in quality, service, sales, and partnering, therefore the best possible experience for the dealers and their customers.
In 2005, however, after going bankrupt, Ameri-Camp was acquired by RV Manufacturing Enterprises, LLC, the manufacturing arm of the Suncoast RV chain of dealerships, no more awards.
Ameri-Camp closed in October, 2008.
I just bought a 2004 Ameri-Camp DS BS(Three Slides). In above average condition. I got it at a very good price, and I plan to start enjoying it as soon as this weather gets warmer.

I had the web site bookmarked, and it has been taken over by another company (re-directed).

We have hundreds of nights spent in ours (2004) with tens of thousands of miles towed and are still very pleased with it.
