I have a 2003 Fleetwood Jamboree class c motorhome. Went to start my generator after sitting for two months and when I hit the start button, all you can hear is like the sound of a fuel pump running for about 5 seconds and the starter is not turning over. I checked the batteries and they seem to be charged so I jumped the starter solenoid for a few seconds and the starter turned over fine. Its flashing a No.32 code, low cranking speed fault , but it's not turning over at all with the switch. Any suggestions on what I should look for?

Just a thought, if you are in cold weather you might need to shift to a lighter weight synthetic oil like mobil-1 5W30.

Do you have 2 remote switches. I have one inside trailer, and also one on gen. If you have 2 switches, do you have same problem with both?

Start the coach, let it run for five minutes or so, then try the Onan with the coach running. If it's still the same, clean the terminals on your house battery, if that's the one that your Onan starts from.

Sounds like you are getting sufficient current to prime the genset but not enough to turn it over. Try to start the genset with the chassis engine running.
Clean all contacts pos and neg going to the genset. Be sure your starting battery is charged properly/not depleted.

Had the same problem........I did not have my house batteries on! Check the switch at the door and make sure it's on! Turn the switch on then try to start genny, if it still won't go, do what other posters have said and run the motor for a few minutes and then try to start it. Since it has been sitting for while, I'd bet the batteries have discharged a bit. good luck

Check the oil...I think there is a low oil cutoff that won't allow the Gen to start if low.
