My youngest son got laid off work last night. Last week they gave him a choice, go to night shift or loose your job, so back to nights he went. He was there two nights and last night they laid him and most of the night shift off. He is so upset, but he was already out looking for a job this morning and has an interview Monday morning. I hope he gets it.He's a welder so I hope since that is a specialized skill it will help him get hired some place faster.

Oh, Tammala, I'm so sorry. We're hearing more and more closings. I'm praying it all turns out okay!

People that two years ago that claimed 'retired' are mostly back to work, I'm noticing. That is, if they can find work. A guy called me this morning I've known him over 15 years, desperately looking for sales help to work at less -50% commissions. I flat told him I wasn't interested and that he should keep 100% during this recession/depression.

It's hit both of my daughters. They've worked for the same school district for 3 yrs.

My sil is a welder, he knows that if something happened to his job, he would be able to find another, not at the same pay though.

Good welders are always in demand, he should have no problem getting a job. I have never seen anything this bad as we have right now

He needs to sneek in at night and weld the CEO's check book, er, office shut

Seriously.. I wish him luck in the job search, A good welder is a terrible thing to waste, alas there are many welders,, I assume he's a good one.

Will Rogers once said "It is a Recession when your neighbor loses his job and a Depression when you lose your job".
When will the BHO administration publicly admit they have a Depression going on?
And....where can I get one of them red, white and blue bumper stickers that reads "I TOLD YA SO"? We knew it was coming, it is not going to be the same from here on it. Sad? Yes. But we better get hustling and make do with less.
