Could not find maxxis in my area. Will be having Denmans installed on my Cruiser Saturday. They are 225/75/15 and are 10 ply ( E rated ). Also having metal valve stems installed. My price is about $500.00 installed.

Also learned today that Carlisle is now making a 225/75/15 E rated now.Around $90.00 a tire.

MdKamper, not sure how you weighed your camper, but remember that 20% of the weight is on the truck. So you may not be as close to the limit as you think. That said, I felt the same way you did and upgraded to the Maxxis 'E' on my 15 inch steel wheels. My wheels had no identification on them at all, but I upgraded the tires anyway. I still air them to 65, it is not a bigger tire it just has more capability. More margin of safety if you will.

I saw a couple of posts about tires bing 10 ply. I bet the finer print on the tire ssys 10 ply rating. Maybe four ply walls?

The E rated tires provide minimal added benefit if you only air them to 65 PSI. If you want maximum cargo capacity you need to air them to max. pressure or at least get close.

I have 15" aluminum wheels on my Crossroads Cruiser. The wheel says 2830# max on the back. I called the wheel company and they said if it is rated for 2830# it is rated for 80psi because that is the only pressure that will give you that max weight. I know that doesn't help if there are no marking on your wheel, but it shows that there are 15" wheel that are rated for 80psi.

My 08 Cruiser has the aluminum rims. I just installed E rated Maxxis 15" tires on it and are very pleased. I put the missions on my flatbed trailer
