Heading to Napa Valley at the end of July and wondering where are good places to camp with my RV. I've looked at past posts and it looks like there are only a few places. Is one of them better than the others?
Thanks.

Are you an Elk? If so, you are in luck. . . .The Elks Lodge in Napa has a very nice RV park; it is close to everything; economical; private and secure; and they have a great bar!
I always use the Elks Lodge when in the Napa Valley, and it works for us very well.

Napa County Fair Grounds, nothing fancy but close to everything and very reasonable. They also have a 9 hole golf course thats is almost free.

it's nothing fancy but we like the Napa County Fairgrounds RV park in Calistoga, at the north end of the Napa valley. Website here: http://napacountyfairgrounds.com/rvpark.htm. They have full hookups, but not much else - no firepits, no picnic tables; really just a gravel parking lot on the edge of the fairgrounds. They can take 40-foot rigs. It's surrounded by trees, and the fairgrounds has a 9-hole golfcourse.
It's in an quiet residential area about six blocks from the mainstreet in Calistoga, which is a great little working town that's more like what the wine country used to be before it got pretentious. There are a number of mud bath, mineral spring spas in Calistoga because there's natural hot springs all around so they use the volcanic mud from the area.
Based there you can explore the whole Napa area easily with a toad.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be checking this out myself, since we're sorta heading that way anyway after death valley and Yosemite.

Make sure you visit St. Helens and stop at Taylor's Refresher for lunch or dinner. It is a converted drive in that has super food. Also make a visit to the Olive Oil Manufactory, they have their own trees and process their own olive oil.

Also looking for things to do while there, one or two Wine Tours will be enough. Anything else to do while there?
Thanks.
