I received a letter yesterday from Terry Labonte RV, the dealer that I purchased my coach from. They informed me that Monaco LLC has made arrangements to cover a recently purchased coach or towable for one year from the date of delivery regardless of the date for 310 bucks, payable to Prism, the firm that has handled Monaco's extended warranties for years. The policy has a 100 dollar deductible but my dealer is waiving that charge for all work done by them. Even if you have an independent extended warranty this policy with Prism is required to cover ALL items normally covered by the original factory warranty. This sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Of course for those who have already spent money out of pocket whether it be a large or small amount, this arrangement doesn't help. I have some money out of pocket and my house warranty expires in a couple of weeks. So I don't think I will be purchasing this inexpensive coverage. But if you still have a good amount of time "left" on your original warranty I think this offering should be given careful consideration.
I should note that Terry Labonte RV stated in the letter that it is not thrilled with Monaco LLC's response to out of pocket warranty claims. They have some of their own. They had hoped for a much better support structure from Navistar for existing owners but they understand that this is a business decision effected by the risks and perils of bankruptcy
Sounds like Navistar/Monaco LLC is trying to help out some anyway.

That is unexpected good news for those who bought recently at a step discount thinking they were on their own. I will help the move the old Monaco Coach units too still setting on dealer lots.

I think that is an excellent offer from one who has no responsibilty at all. Good thinks ahead for this company.

It sure works out well for my friends who bought a new HR last week.

I doubt that for $311 you will get the exact same warranty that came with new Monaco's. Ask them these questions and I will bet they say it is NOT covered. Doug
1. If the Dash vinyl seperates/bubbles, ( this does happen on Monaco's) will the Contract pay for it?
2. If you have a discolored or a seperated Cabinet door, will they pay for it?
3. If the windows do not slide and stick will they pay to adjust them?
4. If any of the glued on slide seals peel loose, will they pay to reglue them?
5. IF ANY paint work is faulty, will it pay to fix the paint?
6. If you have any problems with any of the windows and they need replaced, will they cover them?
7. Will they pay to seal or reset the Front windshield if it leaks or "pops" loose?
8. The list could go on, but my point is, what they are offering is NOT A WARRANTY, but a SERVICE CONTRACT, and ALL service contracts have limitations unlike actual factory warranties. Service Contracts do NOT pay for adjustments and items that are NOT broken.
9. At $311, it is still a good deal, but don't think you have all the protections of an actual full factory warranty.

WHAT responsibility? They are touting a company (Prism) that is NOT affiliated with Monaco or Monaco LLC in any way. They are just pushing you to this company. Monaco LLC has NO money or responsibilty for claims denied or approved with Prism. ALL claims will be submitted to Prism and Prism has the final word, you cannot call Monaco LLC and complain if they do not cover certain items. Doug

Yep, it's NOT the same as a factory "warranty". Sounds like a service policy from Prism. But it is relatively cheap so it might be a good deal for those that expect to have claims, and as Consumer Reports say, why buy it in the first place if you expect the product to need lots of repairs?

The letter states and I quote "Even if you have already purchased an extended warranty policy, this policy will be required for eligible items covered during the original warranty period."
I can only report what the letter said. Any one with questions should contact the dealer of their choice and ask for further clarification.

I have Prism that I paid a lot of money for when I bought my coach less than 2 years ago and when I had to replace my fuel tank they said they would not cover it because it was not a break down item. This would Have been covered if I had found it before Monaco filed chapter 11. I am still fighting trying to get this covered.

Until one person see's this warranty don't throw stones. They are trying to do something to help people and don't have to do anything. You have not seen it and neither have I and until I do I think they are trying to do something nice.
Some thing is better than nothing. What are you doing to help people except dashing there hopes in this new company. Comment on it when you see it or have first hand info. from someone who does.
