I have an HP and thought it didn't have one, but finally noticed it. It is a small light on the panel just to the left of the caps lock key. It is actually 6 small dot lights to make a small triangle.

I just got a reply from DELL. There is NO caps lock lite on my Inspiron. Thanks GTN and Catz for the link, I will get to it as soon as I get a few minutes .There is a little thingy that will pop up on the screen when caps lock is turned on. But it won't do it on all screens and only stays for a few seconds.Thanx for all the replys.

One of my laptops doesn't have any lights to indicate CAPS, NumLock or ScrollLock. I have a little utillity that runs as part of the startup and it has three indicators on the status bar to let me know the status of each of those keys. It's Freeware (not shareware) and can be found HERE. Try it - can't hurt and you can remove it if it doesn't work well.

I went to the website, exactly which of these do I want, there is a bunch of stuff there and I will bookmark that site.Thanx a load.

I also went to the website and read the only review on the product. I, too, wonder why it uses 6 megs of memory. Being suspicious by nature, I wonder what all the little program is keeping track of while it is running.

Nothing. There are few, if any, more suspicious than I when it comes to my computing activities. However, this has passed all evals. It shows the file size is "only" 1.7MB Not too bad nowadays.

My OLD Toshiba Tecra 8000 does not have a caps lock light but it has a utility that shows the caps lock in the system tray.
