Called tonight to activate it. Guy asked what I wanted, 49.99 for 5gb or unlimited for 59.99. Huh says I. I'll take that unlimited please. Seems wrong. I called back to Verizon to another weenie, he said the same thing. They claim it is new.

I think true non-capped unlimited data plans are limited to smartphones. I've had one on my XV6800 for a couple of years now.

This is not a smartphone. They (Verizon weenies) read it to me off of their screen - it specified mobile broadband connect tethering.
I too looked on their website but couldn't find anything, that's why I called back to Verizon. At first the weeny said, we don't have unlimited. I said, open my account and double check. He was surprised at what he found, as was the first guy. They both said this is new.

I use the Verizon USB Broadband modem. I get 5GB for $59.99. There is a plan for about $40 but it allows a very small amount of data. Hope this info helps.
Weenie was a good choice of words because the only reason they are working for Verizon this week is because they crashed their hot dog truck last week.

Thew current broadband plans are 250MB for $39.99/month or $59.99 for 5GB/month. There is no more unlimited plan for VZ. Some of us are grandfathered on the unlimited plan but VZ tries like heck to get you to switch to the 5GB plan.
You might not hear from EVDO Alex for a couple of days. He was at the Bowling Green FMCA convention which just ended yesterday and is probably dead on his feet;.
