It seems to me that plain white vinegar should take the spots off. I'm assuming they are no different that hard water deposits that I had on my shower head. These deposits were easily 1/4 inch thick. I took the head off and soaked it in a bowl of vinegar. The next morning the deposits were all gone.

You could also use a razor blade and carefully scrape the spots off. Just keep the edge flat, don't dig the corners in and it will be fine.

I almost bought one of these kits but it states on it not recommended for automobile windows so I wasn't sure how it would do for the MH.
I don't know the reason behind this. My husband normally uses newspaper to clean the big window.
