Also posted on disboards, but would like fellow RVer opinions. We are considering going to Disney World between Christmas and New Years or over Easter break. We would like to know the best time to go in order to avoid large crowds. We have 3 children between the ages of 2 and 7. We would be bringing our RV of course. All opinions are welcome.

When Hell freezes over. Just kidding- remembering the stroller bruises on the backs of my ankles ;-)
Other than when school is in session, is there a good time to go?

Sorry, we're those people bruising your ankles with our kids!!
Trying to assess what the crowds are like - peak and non peak times. Our children are in school, so we need to work around that. Any opinions would be great - Thanks!

I was there (w/the family) the weekend after Thanksgiving last year and it was great. Not too crowded, lines were ok, and the weather was great(only rained one day). It was better at the start of the week than it was on the weekend. All in all we got to do everything we wanted with little waiting. Be sure to catch the fireworks show at Epcot--it was incredible.

Christmas and Easter are not "good" times to visit WDW if you are trying to avoid large crowds. Spring break is also a busy time. Recommend researching your child's school schedule and find a week that has the fewest school days and plan to visit WDW that week. Granddaughter's school has the Veteran's Day holiday and a "teacher workday" in the same week so she only misses 3 days of school. Spel checque not be wirking!!!

Head down to your favorite book store and purchase "The Unofficial Guide to Disney World!" You might even find a used copy on ebay.
Anyhow, get it and read it. It tells you how to avoid the largest crowds, tells you the best day to go (Sunday), gives you a route once inside that is the opposite of what the crowds are doing. It tells you when the most popular attractions are the least crowded...in other words, it's the most practical way to go. We've been four times and the one time we used this guide it was as if we'd never been before! Well worth the money!

Between Halloween and Thanksgiving. The weather is cooler and the crowds aren't as bad.

We go (without kids) during mid-October. Minimal crowds. DW and drown DD have been there between Thanksgiving and Xmas and loved it. Again, minimal crowds. The times that you mentioned, are NOT good times to be avoiding crowds.
JMHO
Enjoy your trip.
(We'll be there (Fort Wilderness) Oct 7-13 (IIRC)).

The week after Thanksgiving, through the 19th are the lowest census at Disney. We go every year. You can then see all the Christmas decorations and parties. After the 19th of Dec. the rates go up.

"Our children are in school, so we need to work around that. Any opinions would be great" I think you'll find the best time to go to DW would be mid to late August, depending on when you kids start school. Camp on!
