I'm not at all impressed with the thermostat in my 2006 KZ JAG TT. It allows the trailer to get too cold before coming on, and stays on long past where I have it set.
Is it possible for me to add a digital thermostat, and if so, what should I be looking for?
Thanks!

Not only is it posible it has been done many times.
do a search and you will find the one to buy and how to install.
seems to be a great upgrade.
I think they used a hunter from wal-mart but do the search.

Thanks for the info. How many trailers use the same thermostat to control both AC and heat? Mine controls the heater only. AC is ducted but controlled directly on the overhead unit only.

It's a great mod - fun and easy to do.
Here is ours. The red button is how I control the high-low fan speed.

This is a great mod and easy to do. After having mine for the last year and a half the only thing I would do different is forget about the hi-low switch. I have mine on hi and haven't changed it yet. As to the OP, not sure how you would hook up to your AC. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in. John

it's so easy even I did it. I went to wally world and bought a hunter unit and with the help of others on the forum., I wired it right the first time and it even works. You just have to remember to keep fresh batteries close by. I turn mine off during the non use months and the batteries have lasted about three years now. come to think of it, maybe it's time for me to put in new ones.

Buckey-here ya go

from the wall i have 6 wires-brown, white, yellow, green, red, and blue.
they are connected as follows, TT wire 1st and hunter connection 2nd
brown to "G"
white to "W"
yellow to "Y"
green to "Rc"
red not used
blue to #2(of 3) post of fan switch(disreguard if not using hi/lo switch)
jumper from #1 post on fan switch to "G" (see above)
and "Rh" and "Rc" jumped-beleive theromostat comes pre jumped

here's the switch-forget the part number but it's the one LAdams suggests
note: keep in mind that the red wire in the photo is the blue TT wire
