I hope this isnt a repeat of an oft repeeated question, but I'll ask it in the hope it hasnt been beaten to death. We used to own a popup camper that didnt have A/C, and the big issue we had was the dampness and humidity used to get the sheets at the bed ends so clammy that it was very uncomfortable sleeping on them. We went to a 5th wheel with full A/C and never had a problem with that, and it had no trouble keeping up with the heat in Myrtle Beach in the summer.
We're looking to get back into camping, but not wanting to get another huge pickup truck, are looking at the lighter weight hybrids. But with the canvas bed ends, my wife is worried that the humidity issue will still be present. Also that with non hard ends, the A/C couldnt keep up in those 90+ degree days.
Are we "all wet" and this is not a problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't have any complaints about the A/C on my Jayco. Temperature, humidity, etc. has not been a problem, 5 years and various conditions.

We've yet to have a single drop of condensation in our HTT. From Southern Illinois down to the middle of Florida.

100% cotton flannel sheets will go a very long way to not have the clammy feeling in humid weather. We use them year around in the house and trailer. Used them for years.

Get yourself some "Popup Gizzmo's" for the tent ends. It really helps to keep them cool on the inside.

We were just out this weekend in our Roo 19 & didn't have a problem with the humidity. The ac kept up great. Actually in the middle of the afternoon we had both ends open & we had the ac running. It kept everything perfect.

Popup Gizmos help. Also get a big enough A/C. Our 19' hybrid has a 15k BTU. Keeps us cool, even in deserts. We see condensate on underside of canvas if it is real humid, but never been dripped on yet.

It's interesting where all the responders were from... and didn't have a problem with heat and humidity.
Well, it's a common issue down here. Both for Popups, and hybrids. Owned my last Popup for 9 years, had another before that. All in all, been Popup camping for the last 40 years in FL.
Without a reflective tarp, the 13,500 BTU A/C can't keep up with the heat load in full sun. But the tarp makes a big difference. If you look closely, you can see one of these tarps in use while camping at Long Key SP in the FL Keys.

I bought these blankets online. Called "sportsman blankets". Reflective on one side. When not in use, I folded them up and put them under the bunk mattress.

They were held in place with clothes pins. About $10 each, worth every penny.
Hybrids are MORE heavy than hardsided campers. But they do offer more room, and more sleeping spots. My 25' TT is only 3993 lbs (dry), with all the options, but only has 1 real bed.
I almost bought another Popup. But a new Fleetwood Niagara was $19K locally, and a new TT with all the options, only $16K.
Stay cool!

Have not had a problem keeping our htt cool nor have we had a humidity problem. The answer is knowing how to deal with it before: keep the air moving, etc. We live in the hot and humid south and have had no problems even without using popup gizmos (granted we don't camp or live in the Keys). Don't let anyone tell you a soggy bed is a given with an htt, a commmon misconception.
