Has anyone been out to South Padre Island lately? Wondering if the Red Tide has dissipated yet.

I am also wondering about that. We are ready to go as soon as we hear the "all clear".

Two couples from our park in Mercedes were at South Padre yesterday and said they coughed the whole time there. Didn't know anything about red tide.

Do any of you know about any do-it-yourself dog washing/grooming facilities in the RGV area. We will be getting down there in about 2 weeks and our 2 terriers an in need of a bath and clip job. Haven't been able to find any do-it-yourself here in the San Antonio.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Many people have been asking me about the Red Tide Bloom at South Padre Island. I found a government site that monitors the Red Tide and figured this would be as a good a place as any to share this.
Red Tide info
I don't know how to make this into a link here, but if you copy and paste it into your browser you'll know what Texas has to say on the matter.
See ya soon,
