We are looking for a new TT and have narrowed it down to a Rockwood Ultra Light 2607SS or a Keystone Passport 285RL. We are really torn as to which one we like better so I am looking for feedback as far as the over all quality of these two lines of trailers. Since it is a toss up on the layout for us, I want to buy the one with the best quality for the money.
Opinions?

Not to mess you up but have you looked at the Heartland North Trail 26RKS or 28RLS. When we were looking, we had it narrowed to a Rockwood or Passport until my saw the North Trail. One walk through and she was sold. She thought the quality was better and found the kitchen to be more functional. Since you have not picked yet, I would recommend a look at the North Trail before finally decide. I know that we are good we did. At any rate, good luck in finding the trailer that is best for you and happy trails.

Since you like the rear living area, have you looked at the Rockwood Ultralite 2604SS? We just ordered one from RV direct. We also looked at the 2607SS and couldn't decide between the two. We really like the chairs and the walk around bed in the 2604SS and it is more roomy. Also it has hard doors instead of curtains. We also looked at the Passport and really liked it too, but there are too many negative posts about them so we went with Rockwood. Good luck with your decision and whatever you decide I hope you have alot of fun in it.

Anyone know if has Keystone corrected their apparently leaky slides?
And is their customer service as horrible as I am reading here?

I have a Rockwood, my brother-in-law has a Keystone (year newer, 31'). It's been in the shop 3 times to fix leaks. Bad enough that an interior wall, carpeting, cabinet, and bed, all had to be replaced. It started leaking again on his last trip, and he thinks "he" fixed it this time.

The graphics on the front of his TT are all peeling off now, and both our TTs live outdoors all year.

I like the layout and functionality of his camper. The sloped wall by the head of the master bed I could do without! But the leaking roof is a chronic issue that many of these apparently suffer from. Rain is a part of life in FL, and worrying about leaks everytime would become a daily nightmare. Unless they've fixed this issue, I'd pass.

Very pleased with our Rockwood. Other than the flaky Concertone audio system, it's been perfect. Rockwood did replace our stereo, and it is working better now.

so far so good with the passport with me ... My decals are peeling, I hear that is a problem ... My outdoor grill has a gasleak by a dial and I can't use that 'till I get it fixed and every once in a while I get loose screws.

The slope at the head of the bed doesn't bother me.

I have had mine for three seasons now.

So far so good

My Passport has been leak free for six raining weekend events. The only thing I don't like about it is the noisey fresh water system. Sounds like a jack hammer. Pulls easily and nice features for an ultra light.

The Rockwood is a great line too.

It all depends on which dealer you like best.

Looks like we may be getting the Keystone. Gonna go give them the OK tomorrow at my local Camping World. We haven't seen the exact unit they are offering us. I am waiting for it to be transported from Syracuse.

I will be picking up the Passport tomorrow!
They are adding on our options today starting with a slide topper, a MaxAir deluxe vent fan, and a power tongue jack.
We are very excited!
