I have hydrolic slides on my 08 Silverback. Everything was going fine until mid-summer. I popped a breaker while sliding in/out. Since then, I have popped it several more times. It works ok after resetting breaker. The hydrolic level is fine. The issue usually begins once the smaller three slides are out and the big living area slide is in motion.

I figure it is time to lubricate the slides. However, my bedroom slide is boxed closed and I'm not able to get to it.
1. What lubrication is appropriate?
2. Do you think this is the culprit?
3. Is there a way to get to the bedroom gear components to lubricate?

Although lubing the gears is admirable be aware that you want to use a non stick lube otherwise it will attract dirt and only make things worse. Get a gear lube for slides from a place like Camping World. That being said my guess is that if you try lubing the slide seals again with a recommended product that you will cure most if not all of your problems. The seals dragging will create quite a bit of extra friction so lubing them may be all you need and for a $10 or less bottle of lube if it works cheap repair

I would not think lube would be a problem on that new a rig. Try running the slides in and out with a reversible variable speed drill motor using the access point in the end of the hydraulic pump unit motor. If everything works fine, it may be the motor.

I would wonder if you dont have one of them hitting end of travel prematurely causing an overload and stopping the other. You might check when fully in/out that they arent still trying to move - the end of travel limit switches/stops.

We have a Cedar Creek DayDreamer-we had a problem with fuses blowing when using the slides and NOT connected to shore power-it seemed to take about 30 resets of the fuse to get the slides to close. Forest River has a re-work for the power buss-bar coming off the batteries that installed another two leads and circuit breakers. The lights barely dim now when using the slides not connected to shore power. If we were connected to shore power, they seemed to move ok without popping the breaker. Does that sound like your issue?

RaineyTXXI have the same problem. How can you tell if the power buss bar is not functioning properly? Did they explain why the malfunction, or is there a test other than the slides not closing properly.

You might wanna try replacing the resettable breakers. Mine did the same thing. Replaced breakers and have not had a problem since.

FR explained there was too much power going through the one 50a breaker, so they installed 2 more power leads off the battery to the + buss bar. Huge difference!

I had the same problem with my 06 Silverback when we got it in 05. The dealer replaced the breaker and that solved the problem
