My only issue would be...Which mfg. is going to be around in a few years when you need parts and service ? They all make something that would work. As for me...I use a Nissan Titan...RVH

I suggest a truck that exceeds the weight capacities listed for the TT. Chivvy, Ford, doesn't matter.

I am all over this, always had way more truck than needed. One last thing to worry about. Maybe over spent, but who does not like a bigger truck. For a while I was pulling a pup with an F350.

Brand...That can get nuts. I started with Dodge and have had three fords since then. Most treat this like the Hatfield's and MaCoy's. I think the Fords are louder and may reconsider next time. Get the Crew cab for sure, lots of space. (though longer wheel base, good and bad)

We have a 3/4 Chev Suburban and it's always worked great for towing and we have a pretty heavy TT.

I think Ford would be fine too.

The OP's profile shows he has a 2007 28 ft. springdale TT. Don't know if he's kidding or not by asking the question or not, but any of the big three in 3/4 or 1 ton will be much more substantial than his present TV for sure. Wouldn't want less than V10 gas on Ford and diesel on all three.

I visited with a diesel technician at a campground about a month ago. He stated that the GM Duramax/Allison was the most trouble free. He was driving a 1-ton Dodge that he stated had a great engine but the truck requires other repairs regularly especially the electrical. A friend of mine had a lot of trouble with a 1-ton Ford to the point he finally got rid of it after a new engine was installed under warranty. I would not buy a lot more truck than needed to pull what you want to pull because of the ride you will get and the additional expense. One of the folks camping near us last week had a ¾ ton Chevy with the 6.0 gas engine and was pulling an 8400 pound trailer and loved the combination. He indicated that he was getting about 14 MPG when pulling and was pleased with the performance. It was a four door 4 X 4 and had 4:10 gears. Most everybody will tell you that their combination is the best. Get what works best for you. I plan to get a new truck this winter and will do some more research before I make a decision. So far I am leaning to the GMC ¾-ton, 4 X 4 Duramax. We will be traveling in the western mountains next summer.

I have a friend that has the dodge dually and I have an 04 dodge 3/4 ton with the cummins diesel. I have seen his dually go places in the snow that I had to put mine in 4x4 to follow him. Since we just bought a 29 foot komfort TT that has an advertised tongue weight of 1175 and a loaded capacity of 10,000 lbs we decided to trade in for a new dodge dually. I liked the idea of that extra tire in the rear just in case, my family is important to me. Part of the decision had a lot to do with the fact that all remaining 09's at our dodge dealership were priced 13,000 off of msrp and they gave me more then book for mine so it was too good a deal to pass up. Anyway hope it rides as good as my friends dually as his seems to have about the same ride as my 3/4 ton. We live in an area that four wheel drive is a must in the winter and also do hauling and towing for the ranch.
