Looking to replace our old Coleman 2 burner propane stove, we like to put it out on the picnic table and cook there. Don't take the external stove that came with the trailer as it's way to bulky for our small unit both for storage and taking up too much room under the awning. On the Coleman the burner away from the gas bottle burns very uneven, very hard to set. If anyone else does similar I'd be interested in a quick review of the stove you use.

Thanks

Go to WalMart and get a two burner hotplate. Runs on electric. Only need and extension cord.

I have one of these that I've used for the past 10 years or more.

Coleman Guide Series Stove

Love it, fantastic stove, great control and lots of room for big pots. Main burner will put to perc a 12 cup coffee percolator in less than 8 minutes. You do not want to use it with disposable cylinders though. Sucks them dry when using all three burners.

We just replaced a very old Coleman with this.

Bought the adapter to connect it to the main propane tanks. Have only used it twice but we love it. High BTU's and very adjustable. Alos, compact when folded up.

Thanks folks, I'll check out the newer Coleman's, when connecting to the trailer propane do you use the existing outside hookups?
An electric burner is not an option as we rarely have hookups.

Presently I bring a second tank for ours and my Weber Baby Q but I am on the hunt for a solution piped to the campers gas system. Most of these setups require the removal of built-in regulators in order to get enough gas flow to the appliances. Very doable though, just takes getting the right fittings and hose extension.

To be honest, I bought the extension and valves but have not hooked it up yet. I will try it next time out in 2 weeks and let you know.

We also bought a folding Coleman stove for outdoor cooking.

Product description: The Coleman's Two-burner Propane Stove with InstaStart Technology is pretty much as easy as it gets and should happily satisfy most any portable-cooking needs. This Coleman two-burner stove has individual burner controls that go from simmer to a full boil for perfect outdoor cooking, while the PerfectFlow system of pressure-regulated propane provides consistent cooking performance (without flaring or flickering) by producing a steady fuel stream, even in cold weather, high altitudes, or when fuel is low.
This Coleman stove is constructed of an aluminized-steel cooktop and removable, heavy-duty nickel-chrome grate so it resists rust and is incredibly easy to clean. With an output of 22,000 BTU in two high-performance burners you won't lack for cooking heat, and with the Windblock system you can shield the burners for maximum heat or fold the shields down into convenient side tables. Powered by a 16.4-ounce propane cylinder (not included) this grill stove lights easily with matchless electronic lighting, and will last for up to one hour with both burners on high. This Coleman two burner propane stove is dependable, durable, and easy to use.

I've found a 16oz propane bottle lasts quite a while, so I've not bothered with getting the optional bulk adapter hose. I just keep a couple of extra bottles handy.

maybe someone here can tell me.......I just bought the propane conversion for my white gas Coleman stove. Any good?

I love the old stove, and have a cast iron griddle that fits right on top. Didn't want to waste 'em both just to go to propane.

Have you looked at the Camp Chef stoves? Very good quality.
I have a three burner, which may be bigger then what you are looking for. But they make 2 burner units as well. They make both self-standing types and table top models.

Good luck,
