Does anyone know if any manufacturer makes an rv camper to fit the back of a toyota tacoma truck. I think this would be nice to have for short trips.

Also check out http://www.sunliteinc.com/floorplans/truck/skyhawk.htm
This one is a popup for mini trucks. In the used market you may find an RBR Mini Cruiser in minitruck size. They are hard sided campers and I have seen a few around but don't really know how popular they were when new.
This site has many links to truck camper manufacturers. One may have what you want. http://www.joelacey.org/potpourri7.html

I don't know if they have a dealer near you, I contacted them via email. They were real nice, and didn't spam me, only replied when I wrote them.
Good Luck.

Country Boy,
You're Tacoma doesn't have much payload so you are limited as to what will not overload your truck.
As far as I know, the lightest truck camper on the planet is the one made by :
http://www.fourwheelcampers.com/
@795lbs

http://www.palominorv.com/
All these make lightweight campers.
Stick to the pop-up type as they are the lightest.
I happen to have all this info at my fingertips as over the winter I spent quite a bit of time researching the different models.
Oh, we bought the Northstar TC1000.
~hope this helps ~

Thanks to all who replied to my question. I haved ordered a lot of information from your posts and will have a lot of reading to do. I was not sure a camper top to fit my truck was even available. It sure was great to have so many people come forward and give me the information. Thanks again. Gary
