There appears to be a drain tube from the tray below the "fins" that collects the water when it thaws out. Where does the drain tube go? There doesn't seem to be any opening for it outside.

My drain tube goes out in one of the slots of the outside fridge cover.I`am not sure if this is standard on all fridges.

The drain tube on my norcold goes out to a tray in the back of the fridge,it,s supposed to evaporate but check it once in a while because it sometimes fillsup when you shut the fridge off and will spill over. The Dometic has a tube going outside that gets rid of the water.

On mine, the drain tube went to a little round, perforated plastic do-hicky that was flush mounted to the underside of the camper "wing" directly below the fridge. That plastic thing has a split in the side of the part that gets shoved into the drain tube, and guess what??? It leaks water out that soaks into the thin plywood and causes it to rot. Stupid way to terminate the tube, and the mfgr. should have know better. I hope they've corrected that mistake by now, and figured out that the tube needs to extend an inch or so past the plywood. I had to fix the rot on mine, and correct the way the tube was installed myself.

Some times that drain tube will plug up with some kind of gunk and no water can drain out. That's easily fixed by giving a little toot on it with compressed air. Doing that from the inside end of the tube will minimize the resulting minor mess. I don't know if it does any good, but I always follow that procedure with running some bleach through the tube.

One of the most often made mistakes by an RVer is to tuck their drain hose back inside of the service panel. the result is water draining on the floor behind the fridge and it quickly rots out the flooring and they can't figure out HOW it could be leaking
