I have not researched this yet to look for weather data. I thought I'd ask, anecdotally, for what month I should go to Epcot. I'm from the midwest and have never traveled to the south during the winter. I'd like to camp and spend a week or two in Orlando area, but don't know which month (Jan, Feb, March) would be 'best', weather-wise.

Weatherwise, March. However, that's also spring break (basically every week in March & April is someone's spring break) so prices are higher in March. Jan/Feb can be chilly, but prices will be lower and crowds less.

Feb. And plan to arrive so that you go to the Park on Sunday. Most folks leave on Sundays so the crowd is down (this from our shuttle bus driver when we observed fewer people on our Sunday visit.) There are even fewer if it has been raining that morning! We walked right up to the GM building, did the ride and then got right back on to see it again! Could have done the same thing at any of the rides!
See ya' down the road!

Prices are generally lowest and crowds less from last week in January to third week in February. Weather is also as bad then as it normally gets. I sometimes think about wearing long pants then and have to wear a jacket or sweater for a few hours in the morning. Downside is that away from Disney you are going to be competing for space with Snowbirds. Restaurants, state parks, and commercial campgrounds, and some of the other attractions are normally full then.

Jan to mid Feb (not President's day) is least crowded and cheapest. We used to do that but quit because we hit every cold snap in every year. I don't know how we do it be we always used to hit the cold snap target......and I'll tell you it can get cold.
We're from Canada and for some reason 50s in Florida still feels downright Freezing and I find to still freeze a waste of money. Some people will comment it's only a couple of days. Our experience is yes, it's three or four days for the coldest of cold, after that two days of coolness linger. That's not bad if you're there for a month or more but if you only have a week or two, it takes up most days.
Friends of ours go and that time of year and they usually have upper 60s and lower 70s and have encountered cold snaps as well. It's like playing weather roulette that time of year. Even with weather in the upper 60s you still need a sweater.
We've opted for March the last 5 years and we've generally been lucky. We've encountered a few coolish days, but most days were nice like mid to high 70s. Yes it is busier and we've found the beginning of March a little less busy than the middle but we find it worth it. This year we'll be taking two weeks from the 7th to the 20th. Can't wait.

50's is ok by us. We're not 'snowbirding' --- just want a trip over the winter. We're in Chicago and may not be much warmer than you guys up north, depending on what area you're in.
So, the trick is to check with you and not visit when you you as you apparently bring down the Canada clipper with you!

Actually, I think Chicago weather is often worse than our weather. We live on the "right" side of the lake, on the top of Lake Ontario.
You can follow us in March, just not Jan or Feb.
If 50s or 60s are fine for you than Jan or Feb is a great and cheaper time to go.

It's a******shoot. We've been there in April, March, and February. There were times is March that it was extremely cold and April that it rained for three days in a row. Two years ago in Feb., it was beautiful so you never know. I would take the advice of the ones who know about the crowds and stay away when it's expected to be packed. I don't like extreme crowds, and many years ago we were there the first time Disney closed the park for too many people, we got up in the morning and read the headlines and were very glad we were staying at Fort Wilderness that week. It was in March, can't remember the year, maybe the 10th anniversary or the opening of Epcot it was in the 80's.

We winter in Florida and find the weather in January, February and March can always be "iffy". BUT the sure guarantee is crowds in February, March and April. Schools in the northern states are on winter break from the second thru the last week in February, depending on the state, and are on spring break in April. Colleges and southern schools are on break in March. We always go with January to do the amusement parks with our granddaughter and have her out of school for a week. That way we can do everything in the parks and not end up standing in lines for an hour or more! You'll just have to plan on bringing warm and cool weather clothes.
