My wife , son( now 5), and I have spent 10 days at mainstreet station
each of the last two years at Christmas/New Years. This year will
be six days due to job and travel distance.
No it is not in the prime part of town but you can walk to Fremont
street and get the experience and drive to the strip when you want
to. The security is good at Mainstreets RV Parking lot and the
lighting is excellent for walking to Fremont Street Casino area.

The Oasis is definitely the best park in town with Sam's Town second. The sites at the Oasis are a little larger than Sam's Town and are mostly pull through there are some back in's on the out side rows while Sam's Town are mostly narrow back in's with one or two rows of pull throughs. Sam's Town is on the east side of town in Henderson on the Boulder Hwy. quite aways from The Strip while the Oasis is on the west side of town just off I-15 at Blue Diamond and about 3 signals from The Strip. Have fun

Sam's Town is the best in my opinion not because of the RV park it's good enough, but who spends that much time in their rig? They have the best shuttle system in Vegas, They go downtown to Fremont St. or to Harrah's on the strip. Besides we like Sam's Town a good casino and real good restaurants. If you decide to use your toad to get around don't forget that valet parking is one of the best deals in town. For 2 or 3 dollars someone finds you a parking place and you don't have to walk the 1/2 mile back to the casino and they bring it back to you when you want to go.

If you're gonna be there in July, you'd best have TWO a/c's in that trlr or you won't get any sleep.

We stayed at the Oasis and enjoyed it. THey have a seperate pool for adults which was nice. It is only a short ride to the strip and parking there is no problem. July will be hot. We were there in Aug. and had to cover every opening to keep the MH cool.

Enjoy your trip!

I don't know anything about it but there is a KOA right behind Circus Circus. Saw it as I drove the strip,, everyone has to drive the strip at least once.
