I see that the 15 goes straight up through Cedar City Utah. What are the chances of running into heavy snow up there?

Our son is playing in a Bowl game in mid-Dec at Southern Utah University. I would really like to take the MH. Do you think it will be a problem driving our 30' class C at that time of year?

thanks

It would all depend on what MotherNature was doing at the time you go. Check this as to Utah Road Conditions and Navada DOT

Don~
Cedar City gets snow because of its altitude (+5000) but I-15 enroute to Cedar City is fairly low until about 25 miles from town where the freeway ascends from 2800 ft to over 5000 ft. Up to then snow is pretty unlikely although possible. So worst case is you'd likely have only a short drive on a very big interstate that is kept clear in anything short of a blizzard. Short answer - I wouldn't sweat it unless the weather service tells you a humongous storm is coming along at the time of your trip. The campgrounds at Cedar are not far from the I-15 exits and the streets are easy peesy.

Thanks for the replies. I see that Cedar City is up there in altitude but wasn't sure about the 15 going up there. I grew up in Upstate NY so driving in snow is no problem. Just never did it in something as big as the MH.

I think we will take the TOAD and "explore" while we are there. Looks like a nice area.

Take a side trip up to Cedar Breaks if you get the chance, incredible scenery. It is about 30 minutes up Highway 14 from Cedar City.

.....in any case, travel on I-15 is seldom problematical, especially that early in the year. We usually get one or two fair storms before Xmas, but seldom affects travel on I-15 that much. I usually pull my rig down to St. George in December where I store it for the winter and I've never had a problem.

Hey Ramblemutt~

I think I saw your vehicle at Petco in Washington Utah! I remember remarking to spouse on K9CR8. That was you, right?
