We have the heated mattress, it's OK, but the heat is in the center of the matteress and it's LUMPY! AACK, I hate the thing! We are going to put a matterss topper on it and go with an electric blanket instead.

Loved our heated mattress and yes we had a foam topper on it. Warmed up nicely. Yes I said had it went with the TT when we sold it in August. Wish we had transferred it to our Class C. Bought a heated mattress pad hope it works as good.

Excuse my ignorance but Where are you getting your power supply for the 12v heated mattress pad? In my hybrid i only have one 12v outlet which is in center of the trailer- too far from the bunks. Most of what we do is dry camping.

they are all talking about 110v heated mattresses/pads, not 12v. the only 12v heating pads are for truckers and big RV's that have banks of batteries that can take the power drain.
our Roo has heated mattresses that only work with shore power or generator. don't have any 12v outlets in it.

Thanks Bikendan! Makes sense.
Have you ever dry camped in sub freezing temps? Any tips on staying warm. I've read about the pop up gizmo's. Anything else?

I found a great idea for sheets - check walmart with their air mattresses - they have a sheet set the mattress cover has elastic straps sewn onto the corners and elastic all the way around.. fits great and stays in place

no, not much need to out here in Calif., when camping. it's gotten into the 30's but no enough to freeze.
there's a lot of info on this forum about keeping hybrids cool or warm. i would think you would be more worried about keeping the hybrid cool, instead of warm, living in San Diego!
PUGs are one, solar blankets and Reflectix and ceramic heaters are the others.
solar blankets are the cheaper version of PUGs. they are 5x7 blankets made of the same material. but they are custom-fitted like PUGs. and canvas ends can be many different lengths, depending on the brand and model. you can get them at REI or Cabelas or online.
Reflectix in the windows and under the mattress can help retain heat. available at Home Depot or Lowe's.
ceramic heaters are great if you have hookups. saves propane and are less noisy than the furnace.
and heated mattresses are the Bomb! again, if you have hookups.
