Take a look at this homemade camper - http://www.mrsharkey.com/busbarn/kevin/kevin.htm

The rest of MrSharkey's site is interesting too. Good reading for all of us stuck in bad weather!

Talk about a craftsman, that Kevin is a fantastic craftsman. I can only imagine how good he feels knowing he designed and built that entire thing himself. The feeling of satisfaction has to be great. Congratulations to Kevin for a job extremely well done.

Kevin may be a good craftsman but the thing is hideous looking. JMO

Thanks for the post. I was going to take a quick look, and then I got hooked. I started going right down the list. I love Jeannie's!

JDKD123, I think it takes a sense of humor to appreciate that first one, but it really is amazing inside, and the outside is certainly fun! It also takes a person really comfortable in his/her own skin to come up with something like that. It all goes to show what a great sense of imagination and whimsy coupled with craftsmanship and patience can do.

Interesting! But a wood-burning stove inside the rig??? Too scary for me.

Didn't use the word "beauty." I would be hard-pressed to do that. I said it is "fun" and shows "whimsy." It's not the same. Am I going to rush out and copy it? No way! However, I think it is great that someone else is having that much fun and has the skills to do it. It keeps life interesting and puts a smile on my face in these rather troubling times.

Looked around there a bit. Took me way back to the orginal Mother Earth News days. Neat, but don't think I would want to be caught driving one of them today!

I am in "awe" (used correctly).
These are some very fine designs featuring great innovation and craftmanship.

OK, you would not see us giving up the dream of an H3-45, but I absolutely admire the individuals bold enough to undertake such projects. Imagine being 23 again with something like Gracie's bus in the mountains of California or the rolling hills of Wyoming back during the 60's and 70's.
