I ordered pesos online from my bank (Bank of America) and they arrived FedEx within two days. It wasn't as good a rate as I expect to get from ATMs when I get to Mexico, but it was somewhere in the 12 to one US dollar range, and will be enough to get me to my destination without having to stop at an ATM en route.

prayerwarrior wrote: According to the "Church" book, the toll road only takes pesos. So, should we hit the ATM at the Migracion office banco where we pay our vehicle permits? We're heading for Kino mid-December. Anyone else going that way then? It's our first time and it's all so new!
A lot of the Banjercito's that are set up to take your FM-T & TIP payments do NOT do any other banking transactions. So, if you want to buy peso's you need to find a regular bank in town. This is another reason to just hit a convienent ATM.

If you are going throuhg Yuma, the Del Sol Markets, one on 4th and 3rd and one on 4th and 16th will change dollars to pesos, and also will change back. I don't know how much they will change, but I got $200 changed before we left last year, which is enough to get to San Carlos.
