Are there any other Class B Snowbirds out there? We are finishing our final preparations to leave at the end of the month. We’ll spend combined Thanksgiving/Christmas with our Minnesota/Wisconsin kids/grandkids and then head out the next week (the good Lord willing, the flu misses us and the snows don’t bury us). We’re heading for Georgia first, hope to stay at Skidaway Island State Park (Southwest of Savannah). From there we’ll drop down to the Florida panhandle and follow the I10 corridor back to Texas. There are some spots we plan to visit: two National Forests (Osceola & Apalachicola) both in the Florida panhandle, and of course many small towns and parks along the Gulf coast between there and Texas. We plan to be down around Corpus Christi by January and will probably stay in that area, or possibly drop down to the RGV until it warms up a little in February, but then we want to get back over to the Hill Country. We had a lot of fun hiking and sight-seeing there last year. We want to see if it’s as nice as we remember.

We spent the summer doing improvements on our rig and gear, and can’t wait to see if what we learned last year makes our everyday life easier and more pleasant. For sure, we aren’t B newbie’s this year as we now know how everything on the Roadtrek works. What we didn’t like has been replaced or improved. Getting pretty excited, Marsh&Mary&Sam&Buster

I hope you'll be kind enough to keep us posted on your trip. Sounds like you have it pretty well planned out, but with a B it is so easy to change plans and head somewhere else. Have a safe trip and keep us informed.
Just realized I didn't answer your question. We have gone for 9 weeks but would call us fall birds.

Since 2003 we have been reverse snowbirds, leaving Arizona in March for the Olympic Peninsula and returning in October. There were also trips to New England and Canada interspersed.

We are looking at possibly a month in Florida this coming February as an exploratory snowbird trip. I want to get back for Maple sugar tapping in March. We will fly to the Washington DC area to spend Christmas with our daughter and family. Last year it didn't dawn on us now that we are retired that we could actually use our B in the winter.

My wife and I will be heading south on Dec 15 for 3 months. We will follow I 15 from Boarder to Las Vegas. From there we will head into Arizona, NM, Texas. No real plans as this is our first time at snowbirding. We have 3 months of medical insurance, so thats our limiting factor. I will meet my sister and some internet friends, so I don't feel we will be too lost.

If you haven't been before, Skidaway Island Park is really beautiful. One of our favorites. If you are planning on staying at any florida state parks, be sure and get resurvations if you can. They fill up fast. They are all nice. One of our favorites is Rainbow Falls state park in northern Fl but have never been able to camp there, always full! In late fall and winter, everything in Florida seems to fill up. Sounds like you are planning a great trip! I am jealous.

Actually, we prefer using our B in winter: no allergies, no effects of humidity and we generally have the SP campground to ourselves! Lots of cocoa, winter walks and cuddling in the B.

We have spent a month plus in the Anza Borrego area of Calfornia, starting around President's Day and staying till it gets too hot for us Puget Sounders. And we usually end up asking ourselves why we returned so early. This year we will probably go longer. The Roadtrek is small compared to most of what we see down there, but it works for us.

Left Vancouver Island (BC) this morning - presently in Burlington KOA
to keep warm and dry..Heavy rain and strongs winds most of the trip.

No problem crossing into the States..He was only interested if we had
a house and who was taking care of it while away.

Tomorrow if we can avoid the rains- heading towards the California
Border for sunshine and warmth. Present temp 47 but feels much colder.
OH! did I mention that it's raining?
