Well, I officially changed my camper and my signature....picked up our 2010 Starcraft 217RBSS on Saturday and said goodbye to the giant 5th wheel....someone asked me if I was going to cry when I left the 5th wheel....my response was, several years ago when we traded our hybrid, I literally almost did cry because I knew I would miss it...but this time there would only be tears of joy because the "big rig" just wasn't for us and in 3 years of having it, we always knew we weren't keeping it, it was just too much...I love coming home now and seeing our small camper...small on the outside but SO very roomy on the inside...we really love it....taking it camping this weekend...naturally it is supposed to rain, but I guess that's a good thing to identify any leaks or problems...anyway, we are Happy Hybrid owners once again..Woo Hoo !!!

Sounds like you are right back where you should have been all of the time. We are happy for you.

Everywhere we go we get the message bigger is better. That just is not factual where is it a meal at McDonald's or and RV in many cases. Yes bigger is always appealing at first but the results sometimes are not so appealing.

Hey, thats great JGRVING!!! Welcome back. Hope your new rig works out well. Camping this weekend makes it even better. We are already in the wait for spring mode.
Have a great "first time out" trip in that Starcraft.

I couldn't agree with you more. While I do see the benefits of a 40ft Class A Diesel Pusher, and I would RENT one if it ever was needed, I never needed or wanted anything huge.

I spent a lot of time researching and finding the perfect RV. 23'8" separate bath/shower/vanity full 4 burner galley with microwave convection oven short queen bed. Jack knife couch TV VCR SAT larger fridge. Decent water tanks and great heat.

Bigger is not always better when it comes to RVs.

Welcome home! Sometimes I think there is a huge difference between camping and RVing. Hope you have many happy years in your new hybrid.

Good choice.

I often get asked "when are you going to upgrade" and i always reply
"i already did 5 yrs ago".

After 5 yrs of hybrid camping were still very content.

Enjoy.
