To those on here who have the US map in their signature with certain states colored in, do you color in a state if you merely travel through or only if you camp in that state?

I color in the states that we have camped using the pop-up or travel trailer. I could color in more states if I wanted to include the states that I visited as a child or when I was in the military. But I am just including the states that my DW and I camped.

You will see that everyone has their own opinion on when they color in a state.
Some will color it in if they travel thru it with their camper, others only if they camp in the state, some will count it if they overnight in a walmart, others only if in a campground or national park. There really are no steadfast rules.

Only states we camped in (no Walmarts). But as has been said, to each their own.

We only color in the ones that we camp in as our family is comprised NOW. Me, DW, DS & DD. We also do not do the Wallydocking thing, so we only color them in if we camp (campground/state & national park) only.

But I think each and every person/family should decide how they want to color in their maps. We have the weight police, towing police, I do not think we will ever have a "map coloring-in police", or at least I hope not.

Have to sleep in an RV for us so Walmarts count for me. Driving through do not.

Love the camping life.

Ours are only if we park the rig in the state for at least an overnight. Doesn't have to be that way though.....

We are in the Rocket City also......
