Has anyone had an older TT and Had Fake Wood on the outside? Im looking to change it out and just wanted some ideas.

Fake wood for outside? Your best bet would be vinyl sticker

Yea it looks like laminate wood. Fake stuff. Its all discolored. Wanted to know if i could put 1/4 inch wood in and seal it with polyurathane. I think that would look nicer then wats on it.

Would need to be Spar Urethane - the kind used on boats. At least 3 coats, probably more, if you want it to last.

Would the spar urathane be a Home Depot? Or would i have to go to like boaters world for it?

You can get Spar varnish at any store that sells paint. Spar varnish, although made for exterior, will still flake and peel after several years.

I recommend you do not use polyurethane spar varnish from the Borg. I have tried it on a wooden mailbox and it hardly lasted a year. I have had better luck with a marine spar varnish. Epifanes is one of the best. You will still need to put on several (4+) layers and expect to refinish frequently. I also use Epifanes on my wooden canoes but since I keep them under cover most of the time, I have only had to touch up scratches in the last 7 years.
