The OP sounds to me like she may have a problem more with a dealer than Heartland. She doesnt elaborate on the problem so I guess we wont ever know.

This a great forum, however joining a brand specific forum has many advantages that are not available on this forum. Many members belong to both this forum and a forum for their specific brand/model RV. I also encourage all members if available to join a forum specific to their RV.

Eh!
Graham,
Your current level of satisfaction not-withstanding, Mr. Brady had his team and his suppliers respond to you by working with you to take care of your coach and your requested reimbursements, without regard to warranty status or "potential" retail induced forces (loading, curbing, road conditions, usage etc.).
Jim Beletti
I beg to differ... as far as I'm concerned all negotiations for partial compensation from Lippert was between me & various management levels of Lippert.
When I was in business it was only common courtesy that when a customer wrote to a quality organization, that organization ALWAYS wrote back to the customer with their response to the issues.
Eh!
OK...so you came to an agreement with the involved parties...Why are you still beating that dead horse????
1) The OP asked for comments regarding the quality problems they were having & I therefore added my personal comments. Other Heartland (HL) owners also offered their opinions.
2) A respondent suggested that the executives of Heartland be contacted & I offered my disappointment with Heartland in not acknowledging my letter to Mr. Brady.
3) Jim Beletti expressed how much effort HL had done in helping me with Lippert on the broken spring problem I had in June. I did not & do not accept that HL was much help as I consider that my efforts were the only way I got a somewhat decent settlement from Lippert. Not fully acceptable but somewhat decent!
BTW: this Lippert issue is not the only problem I have had with by Big Horn... it has been a constant fix-it/replacing components from day one. BTW: other HL owners have had worse/more problems than us.
When buyers/owners ask for opinions I have the right to express my opinion. Similiarily, happy owners have their right to their opinion!
Eh!
ps: The compensation I had agreed to with Mr. VanSchoick of Lippert via a phone call & an email was not provided by Lippert. Their cheque was less than the amount I had agreed to. When I contacted Mr. VanSchoick I was told that was the best they would do!

GeeksRUs responds to threads that solicite opinions about the general quality of HL products. Considering he is a owner and has had problems I think it benefits any thread to have him give his experience. To me, it balances out the "fluff" responses some people give where they say they NEVER had a problem. That's great for the small percentage of people but most everyone who's owned a RV knows they ALL have issues along the way. So thank you for posting GeeksRUs, you offer the "other" side to the glee-filled responses of those who claim to never have an issue.
As far as owner forums, I think they are incredibly beneficial to owners. First, a company that is in touch enough to sponser a owner's site is a company that is likely listening AND improving their products in response to suggestions/complaints. I belong to the Crossroads website and while management stays out of issues it is clear by constant product improvement that they have their "ears" on. I prefer posting issues about my camper to the owners' forum because of the similarity between the coaches. Not only that but on a large forum like RV.net I find posts can get buried under the same "can I tow this" or "do I buy brand XX or brand XX".

Good post by mwebber78. We have had 5 rv's all diferent brands all had problems some less than others. We learn from folks who post their experiences and the fixes. We also belong to a owner forum and many from that forum are also here. Having had 5 rv's over 25 years I do have a problem with the "We never had a problem" crowd. That is just about impossible. We did have one Rv. It was Fleetwood Terry and the only problem we had with it was a leaky roof and window that the dealer corrected under warranty. A single problem but a problem ..
