We will be staying at Henderson Beach State Park, and I received some great responses to my question about preferred route, so I have a few more.
What are your favorite carry-out pizza places, or even other restaurants with take-out?
Has anyone ever used a public library for wireless? I was thinking about the Destin library. Can you sit outside in your vehicle? We have eaten at the Whataburger in the area, and I learned later that Whataburgers broadcast a signal. Anyone use that?
Grrr. I have some more questions, but they slipped away.

Jordano's is IMHO the best pizza in town.....

Papa John's has good takeout pizza. Whataburger has OK burgers and good onion rings. Whataburger has free WIFI.
On Hwy 98 east of Destin in Santa Rosa Beach, there's a seafood market that steams shrimp. I think it's called Shrimpers Seafood Mart. They also have cole slaw and potato salad for sides. We usually get a pound of seasoned steamed shrimp some sides and go back to the camper.

Wish I could help you, but we usually never leave the CG even if we are there for several days. We just chill out, grill out, and enjoy the fantastic beach. We have a iPhone to check email, so don't need WiFi. There is a Bass Pro Shop, many resturants, and a big mall nearby, but we can do that at home. Just thankful for the Walmart across the street for things we might need. Only gripe was that the newspaper box at the bath house was not in service at last trip.

We usually go in late May during Memorial Day. This year we went during July 4th. Mistake, too HOT!

We'll be at Topsail 2/1-2/15 and Grayton 2/15-2/28, both are Fl state Parks we will use the info you garnered here.
If you are there during those dates look us up. We have "OMA OPA AUSFARHT" on rear of our coach.

There's an excellent sub sandwich shop right across the street in the strip center next to walmart called Lenny's if you are in the mood for a quick sandwich.
Just thought I'd mention it since it's so close to the park.
I've picked up wifi all over Destin in many places. I think there are a lot of home owners that leave their wireless open.

There is a wonderful little place across the street from Camping on the Gulf. It is a small family owned pizza place and will deliver. I don't remember the name but I am sure some of the locals can tell you.

Well looks like everyone is giving U lots of info on food...
On Wifi, I got a signal in the Wal-mart parking lot, U can also go to Starbucks...Also at the shopping center where Bass Pro is.. There are several places for Wifi...
We have Verizon and had a great signal so I just tethered, when at Topsail and had no problem...

We got wifi in the wal-mart parking lot on the west side I think it came from Hooters. The Destin libary is nice and you can get a signal in the parking lot.
