I don't think SF would have a problem with the fact that you are a fulltimer as far as the toad is concerned. You need a Fl Drivers license, Registration and a FL address, which you have.

I would definitely tell them that although you are based in FL you will be traveling away from Fl most of the time. NOT telling the insurance company something important is called "material misrepresentation" and could be grounds to deny a claim. Every state and agent is different, but I don't think that would be a problem. I would tell them though. I am a licensed insurance agent and adjuster, for what it's worth.

I talked to my mail service, American Home Base, and they told me that the State Farm agent that they used to recomend there was not writing any new policies now, something to do with the aftermath of Katrina. I think I'll take your advice and talk to National Interstate, as I know they won't be a problem. I have to deal with them anyway to change my MH policy to fulltimers. It's just that I have been with SF for about 35 years. But it's a new phase in my life - I'm ready for changes!

just a note, when we moved to Florida, we had to have the State Farm Insurance agent physically verify the toad milage and fill out a form for the State, so that we could get our plates. Also my agent told me that they MAY stop writing homeowners Ins. in FL, but will continue auto policys.

Here is my story. MH & Toad were insured with S.F. We sold our home in Fort Worth in Sept 2002 & became fulltimers. Changed address to Livingston (SKP). Notified Agent in person of new situation. Every thing was O.K. Read on this Forum in 2007 that a people becoming fulltimers were told that S.F. would not insure the MH. Checked with agent. He never heard of this & checked with underwriter. Was told this was true. Checked further with Team Leader in Claims. Here is agent's response: "Yes, the coverage is valid with one exception and that is that the Medical Payments coverage only would be excluded. All the other coverages are still valid." I cancelled anyway and got the Progressive Fulltimers policy. Toad is still insured with S.F. Coverage is less than 2 vehicle discount with Progressive.
