I have the Garmin bean bag mount and it works great. It does not slide around because of the soft rubber like stuff on the bottom. Once in a while, if driving on a really bumpy road I will have to adjust it but that is about it.

Beamer is a motorcycle, Bimmer is a car, both made by BMW.
Windshield on our Bimmer is fine for driving, but not really big enough to put anything blocking our vision. Just our opinion.

I like the B Bag because I can transfer it from one vehicle to another and it stays where it's been put.

We use the Garmin bean bag mount. It works better than the suction cup mount did. The suction cup came off a couple of times. The Garmin mount we bought has the same stem the suction cup mount does to mount the unit directly to the mount. The stem is adjustable.

Quote: Why don't you just suction it to the windshield in the corner out of the way.
That is the only legal place above the dash that's legal in California.

Another vote for the bean-bag. I move it from the Ram to the DW's SUV all the time and it stays put fine.
