Yea, but posting it on the internet IMHO is only asking for problems. I would never post a vin or license number on like for fear of someone getting it and using it on a wreck or stolen vehicle.

I will ask again. How? Any crook can walk through any parking lot and write down as many VINs as they would like. They are required to be in public view. What does knowing a VIN do for a crook? You certainly need more than that to tag or title any vehicle. It would be a wide spread problem if it were that easy yet I have heard no demands to remove them from their required location.

Back to the OP's question. If you call customer service at Cardinal, they can give you all of the information on the coach in question. They can tell you the model, color of interior, when it was made, what the options were, what axles are on it, and on and on.

Don't get sidetracked by the other issues.

If you give me your social security number and drivers license number, I will put it in my puter, get you all the info you would ever need. When it was made, who bought it, who sold it, who stole it, etc.

With your checking account number, I can also give you a lot more info.

Do it in a pm if you feel threatened.

And what does any of this have to do with VIN???

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

I found what I was looking for. 4X4 = forest river. F = fith wheel. CA = Cardinal. G = 31 ft.. 2 = 2 axles. 1 = check sum. 4 = 2004. g = plant at 52277 CR 19 Elcart Indiana. 081368 = sequence number.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Roger, I did not ask the question but it helped me. Now how about telling us all where you got this info. I would like to get some specific info on my Forest River Cardinal 30TS but dont want to post my VIN, just in case.
thanks in advance, I also sent you an email.

On my '04 Cardinal 33TS the VIN is stamped on the frame where the hitch attached. It is also on a sticker on the side that has tire info,GVWR and Model #.

I am reminded of someone who said on an Amateur Radio thread that one should never put their FCC call sign on an internet forum, because ANYBODY could look it up and find your name and address.
Well, yeah, IF they know enough about Amateur Radio to know where to look.
But then, the FCC REQUIRES me to announce my call sign every time I talk on the radio, and anybody with a scanner can listen, then look me up in the database. Depending on the frequency I am operating on, I might be heard just locally, or all around the world, possibly even on the International Space Station (or farther)!
OH, NO! The Klingons heard my last 10 meter transmission, hacked into the FCC data base, and now they know where I am!
Maybe it was the Ferengi...
or, perhaps, the
OH, NO, THEY GOT ME!!!!

The license number of every one of my vehicles is clearing visible for all to see plastered on the back AND front of the vehicle. They are even reflecterized so that they can be seen easily in the dark.

The VIN of everyone of my vehicles is plainly visible either embossed on a placard on the dash or a decal on the side.
