Hello all
Wanted to see if anyone has changed out the non-opening rear window in a Jayco. I hava a 2008 Grayhawk 32ss. The rear window is the fire escape type and it does not open to allow for more ventalation. I would like to change it out to one that opens. Has anybody done this and has a source for the window and cost. Thanks. Jack

The Thermos keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. How does it know?

I just made a screen with frame that goes over the inside of the window and hooks on the top. I open the window and stick a shim in to hold it open and slide the screen on. It works well and gives good ventilation. I throw the screen under the bed.

I don't have pictures. What I did was make a frame out of 3/4" wide by 1/2" thick material that was just slightly larger than the interior window frame. It slips inside the blind frame from the bottom. Slide it up and the top of the frame lays on top of the window frame. Pull the blind down about 1" and it can't fall off. It was very simple to make. I use a 2" wide piece of cedar shingle shim to prop the window open. The thin end locks in under the gasket.

We had this same question last fall. We ended up just propping the window open. Built a screen to keep the bugs out and it worked just fine.
