The Marathons I took off my camper were made in China....

My Goodyear Marathons were made in USA.

Cooper was making them in USA, do not know if they still do.

Seems like it changes fast, but so far I have never bought a Chinese tire to be used on the road. I will try NEVER to buy a Chinese tire.

I heard a rumor Goodyear is headed back to China with better quality control.
So get the USA made while you can.

Cooper stopped ST tire production in '05 according to my Cooper tire dealer. However they sold USA made ST's till the warehouses were purged. Cooper doesn't carry many sizes of ST's and they come from China and Tiawan.

Cooper/BFG and Firestone made some fairly good ST tires 20-25 years ago.

ok, so my point to that fallacy is...
Does it make that big of a difference where its made?
Is it like a wrench from Harbor Freight vs the same from Craftsman?

(im not being facetious about the questions)
