Does anyone know how to remove the arm rests on the flexsteel captains chairs? Trying to recover them in sheepskin fabric to make them more comfy on long drives. I have looked at them from every angle and just cannot figure it out. Thanks for your input. Bill

It may be best to make a slipcover for the armrest that can be taken off for washing. A permanent fabric cover is much harder to clean. That will allow you to make any type of cover you choose for the arm rest. Some people have found that a cover made of t-shirt knit is also very comfortable. All you need to do is make an open tube with elastic at the opening.

Tutto....keep us posted. I, too, would like to recover the arms of my coach seats but not liking the idea of slipcovers. I'd rather see them upholstered. Mine have adjustment buttons on the front of the arms that I would have to work around so maybe I won't be able to remove the arms too easily. Still would like to know how you do it.

If it were easy, every one would do it.

I find them easy to remove and the instructions here are fine. But--had a very tough time replacing them.
