Greetings,
Are there any adverse issues or problems with running our ONAN 7.5 diesel generator while driving?
Thanks.

Try driving around the deserts of Calif, Nevada and Arizona in the summer.....I use it quite often to keep the dogs and my wife Happy when she is in the back of the MH.

Just keep in mind that it draws its diesel from the same tank as the engine. But the generator pickup is at about 1/4 tank level so the genny can't drink up all your fuel and leave you stranded.
From all the posts I've seen here, the consensus seems to be that it uses about 1/2 gallon/hour. So, just don't let the fuel tank get too empty so that the genny sucks air.

84 hours on mine on this last trip running the generator while traveling. We average 100 hours per trip of generator use while traveling. That's what I bought it for. Use it and enjoy it.

If you travel any amount of time in the Southwest or Gulf Coast in the summer which runs till early Oct. you will gladly crank up that genny and get as much cool air going as possible. With the huge window areas in the fromt of these coaches it's near impossible for the dash air to do any appreciable cooling especially heading west in the afternoon. I really can't tell any cost difference in fuel. Just consider it a 1/2 to 3/4gal./hr. head wind.
