Any ideas on where to find a table with a pedestal base? The measurements for the table should be about 27" wide by 36" deep. I see them in travel trailers, 5th wheels, etc., but where is a good source? I don't want a table with 4 legs because I think that will be problematic in getting in and out. And I do not want to pay a ton of money, either. I know, big wish list.......

Don't know how handy you are, but maybe you could make a custom one to fit your needs. That's what I would do.

We have a rather heavy built trestle table in our 5th, it does not move. The nice thing someone came up with on this type of RV table is allowing the feet/legs to swing in, in a confining space. Plus the newer ones have this slide out extension or a shallow drawer. Google these tables for all kinds of selections.

So I just called an RV dealer about 30 minutes from me and she tells me they just happen to have an RV free standing dining table in their showroom for $100! The top measures 29 x 46 though. I think that is 10" too long. BUT if it is solid wood I may have my son cut the top for me....

I have that chrome hardware with my existing unit. I'd like a wood pedestal. But THANKS for responding. It's appreciated!

What about finding an old wood pedestal table on Craigslist or at a used furniture place, remove the pedestal and screw your own table top to it.

Update: Looked at the table the dealer up the road from me had and it's too big for my trailer. I found out the original manufacturer of my TT said that the tables they use are 26 x 42. I thought perhaps I could cut the table at the RV place down, but the skirting underneath is too close to make it work. So, I'm still looking.....

You probably can't do any better than that.

My husband trash picked a pedestal table with 4 chairs. It was in perfect shape, but had a round top. He took the top off, put on a rectangular shaped one (also trash picked) and cut down to the correct size. We sanded it all, painted it and are ready to install in the trailer once he removes the dinette. THe company we bought our trailer from wanted $600 plus shipping and crating fee. It pays to take a drive on trash night!
