I have been with USAA for over 30 years. Never had anything but new manufacturer parts on my vehicles. They have always responded quickly and professionally. And I insured my RV last year through USAA, but the agent in San Antonio specifically stated they do not take any new RV policies. Here in Texas they insure RVs through Progressive for any new policies. I'm very surprised about some of the issues here. I know a great many USAA policy holders and they are all happy with USAA. It's a highly rated top notch company. I would suggest calling them directly.

Without a police report or neutral witness, so much depends on how the USAA insured handles this claim, if he/she is honest and reports the accident as it happens then you will be ok. Do you know who initiated the claim--did the guy that hit you report the accident to USAA or did you initiate the claim with USAA?
USAA's claim department may not have a report from their insured which can really slow things down because they will not settle this in your favor without a clear statement from their insured that he/she was totally at fault.

I tried signing up for USAA insurance. They don't insure houses in my part of Florida. They won't insure my life because I am a disabled veteran. They don't insure cars in my county in Florida. In short, they don't do diddly for me.
The fiver is insured with Progressive on an agreed value policy. The rest of my vehicles are insured with GEICO.

USAA MH is underritten by Progressive, they covered my RV for several years until my daughter was struck by an individual inssured by them, coverage was so bad I have dropped them, went to Geico which has covered my cars for many years, a little more but I know my coverage is good and I not going to screw anyone else because I carry cheap insurance.

Not for TTs AFAIK. I don't know about MHs since I've never owned one. USAA might offer something say via Progressive if they don't insure MHs directly as was mentioned above, but my TT is just another vehicle on my auto policy so I can't see how that could be from Progressive since each company has it's own specific policy provisions.

We have 2 trucks, 1 car, rental insurance, and a TT insured by USAA. Been a member since 1997, when they first allowed enlisted to join. Nothing but good things, been just terrific at all customer service, saves me over a grand a year in premiums compared to the other big name companies, and we also bank and invest with them. And, I just checked, our TT is insured by them, not progresive.

Maybe it varies by state, I do know if you had TT insured by them before they changed, they didn't switch you over to Progressive or anything, they grandfathered those cases but with a new policy they won't. I had my motorcycle through them, sold that one and bought another one, when I called they said they didn't cover recreational items any more....That was my experience. I tried with the TT last year and was told the same thing.
Maybe it depends on the state?...
