I saw an RV tips video online about putting Bounce Dryer sheets into various cabinets and such along with outdoor storage compartments in an RV to keep mice away. Apparently, this works as long at the sheets used are the ones from Bounce. The guy on the video said others don't seem to work. (He did not seem to be making a pitch for the company ). Does anyone do this? Does it work? And if you do - we went looking for Bounce Dryer sheets and there are several different types - scented with different, unscented, 4 in 1... My wife said, ok which one and I have no idea. So if you do this what do you use.

I use the "original scent", which I believe is "Outdoor Fresh". My wife can't stand the smell, especially when I put about 30 throughout the trailer. But, I can't stand mice being in my trailer

Much of that kind of just "silly" information comes from email being passed from port to port. Don't believe everything you get in your email inbox Probably more of that KIND of information is totally false than is true since the whole REASON for those mailings is to collect valid Email addresses. Once you forward it to someone else they have confirmed YOUR address as valid.
Mice are just as apt to use the fabric sheets to BUILD their nest as they are to go elsewhere to build it. The makers of Bounce are a very profit oriented business. If there were ANY CHANCE that their product would repel mice then ask yourself "why don't they market it for that purpose?" They even have a link on their corporate web site titled "CLEVER USES" and it shows how to make flowers by folding the sheets in various ways. ABSENT from their "clever uses" link is anything about removing bugs from vehicles, repelling mice or other pests and most of the other superstitions you read about. Now I WONDER why they don't mention these uses?????

I am just now cleaning up the mouse(s) made in my camper during the winter. They went in every drawer, including the drawer I kept a full open box of fabric softener in, heck I think they even ate a corner of of that box too.
No, I found the evidence of mice in late December and bought some D-Con mouse poison pellets. I bought 4 boxes and last week when I went back in I found all four boxes empty and halfway ate. I figure it was 3 things, a big mouse, faulty poison, or many mice. So far found two dead...
And no, I did not keep any food in the camper this winter, but I heard that mice don't exactly come for the food.
It's not an adventure till something goes wrong...

So we have two for and four against Bounce to get rid of Mickey and his friends. Hmm.
My wife hates the scented ones too and that was her first comment when I told her what I saw on the video, but she will hate the mice even worse...

Just make sure there aren't any holes for the mice to get in.
I have also heard that mice really enjoy making nests out of dryer sheets. No personal experience as we don't allow them to come in.

Our nest isn't empty - it's half full.
