Bounce does not work, period, and no, I can't prove a negative. I am one that had the buggers using the dryer sheets for insulation - the same season I put them in the rig. They tore out fiberglass insulation and took the sheets to build a freaking condo in the basement storage area during a cold snap. I vacuumed every trace, sealed up the underlayment below where they got in, and hung mothball hangers from the pipes in the basement. Since I started doing that in the off season 4 years ago, no issues. The smell never did come up into the living area. If I get ever get them again, I'll try Fresh Cab. A buddy says it works great. He found 15 mice in his rig over this winter and has none - at the moment anyway.

After having the entire wiring harness replaced on my truck ($1600). I followed everyone's advise and put moth balls under the hood. Two days later I found a nest on top of the moth balls and the wiring to the headlight plug gone. Suspect it was a squirrel from the size of the nests.

He won - truck went in the garage.

I won't use poison because of my dog, and the mice may get into the walls and die (Happened in my house). Good old "Victor" traps - the newer design with the large yellow plastic "pedal" and peanut butter work great for me. Mice like to travel close to the walls, so I put the traps along walls and in corners. I tried glue traps and found them far from where I placed them with no mouse attached.
Looks like we're still waiting for someone to come up with a better mousetrap.

I have found the mice eat the peanut butter off the newer plastic ones and very seldom trip but the older style still work most of the time. Don't know what the different experiences are caused from but I do find that when setting the loaded traps down the older ones are more sensative

The Bounce smells nice but not a deterrent for mice imho. Keep looking for gaps around plumbing and any quarter-sized chewed holes in the black membrane underneath the unit. Patching these is your first line of defense. My 2nd line is a carpet of sticky traps throughout the rig during the winter. I know it is inhumane and gross but it works...they might get in but they are not getting out.

We went for several years without a one then last year 'they' got in and trashed the place even into the mattress. This year only one under the shower over the winter. The difference was last summer spent filling holes with steel wool, expandable foam, duct tap, and mesh. Once the slide is closed, I jammed a bunch of steel wool into the cracks around the slide. I still have gaps around the plumbing under the shower and can't get to it from the outside underside because of the black/grey tanks so this summers' project is to find a way to patch it from under the shower which is tight quarters.

One of my neighbors found 2 baby squirrels in his unit and had to remove the furnace, wait for Momma squirrel to fetch them overnight then stuffed the gaps around the plumbing with anything he could find.

Good Luck!

I've put the pedal traps around the tires on my unit (stored in a warehouse). Went there this weekend and had a little bugger with a snapped neck. Lets hope they all sniff around the tires before trying to enter

The DW spreads moth balls on Bounce sheets all around the trailer. Have no idea if they work or the farm cats where the trailler is stored. Whatever. We come back after 6 months storage with the smell of mothballs still in the trailer & no bugs. Takes a few days of airing out.
