Need some ideas on a NEAT way of storing my 50' fresh water hose. Would like something I could store it in, and remove the hose and storage "device" from compartment.

Thanks in advance.

I got one of those plastic Christmas wreath cases from Walmart. You can get a couple of hoses in it.....my problem, it's wider than my compartments are. I was tempted to stow it under the bed (lots of room, but a PITA to get at). I've yet to use it.

Prior to that, I had a Rubbermaid bin that fit in the compartment under the RV....it also allowed me a place to put some tools and fittings, as well as the water filter.

Yeah, that would take up too much room I'm afraid. I seem to remember something about a bucket, but can't find it.

I was also thinking about one of those circular wrap things for electrical cords, but not sure they make one big and sturdy enough for 50' of water hose.

50' of hose is a lot of hose...especially when you try wrapping it up.

Might be able to coil it up inside a 5 gallon bucket....but don't know if that will fit thru compartment door of your rig.

Could cut it in half and install new ends (brass one...not those cheap plastic junk). Two 25' hoses are easier to coil up/stow. Plus usually only need one to hook up water.

We store ours in one of those clear storage containers with the top that meets in the middle and kind of overlaps. All fresh water stuff in one box, dump hoses and water hoses used for that in another, etc.

i use a plastic hose reel similar to the one in the picture. mine has a handle on top, stores 100' of 3/8 hose and sits upright in the storage compartment..maybe 6"-8" of floor space. unreel as much as i need and reel it back in when done. couldn't be simpler.

I use a 50' flat hose that comes on a reel. Works great.

I did this with a slight modification. Instead of cutting it in half I did 1/3 and 2/3. I kept them coiled in a bucket & stored it under the dinette.

CW has hangers for power cords and hoses. I use one for my hose. I can coil it up on the ground and slip the hanger through it. Then, I can handle it for storage.

My hoses are coiled with Velcro straps keep them that way. I have a velcro strap hanger on the end of one bin screwed to the wall that the hoses are hung from. Under them is a small tub I keep the extra plumbing bits in. All of it is stored in a bin I keep food grade stuff in (outdoor cooking gear, etc). All the dirty stuff lives in bins to keep dirty stuff in. No need to get the trots from poor hose hygiene while on vacation.
