We are going to attend our first Talladega race and need some information since I can't find anything on their site with the answer.
Does anyone know if the seats in the Moss-Thornton section are hard old plastic or are they padded? We want to carry in seat cushion if they are NOT padded. Would hate to ruin the whole Talladega experience with a sore behind because of hard seats!!javascript:;

I personally have not been there yet, however I am heading there in the spring for the first time with some friends who go every year. I can try to get a hold of them but in the mean time, have you tried contacting them directly?

I know I have been to several other tracks and the people whom I've had to talk to were quite helpful.
Have fun, I hear its a blast camping there.

Not sure about the seats in that section but, straight across from vic. lane, first row, second level (not cheap) seats are hard plastic. bring a seat pad. You can get one there for about $20 if you don't.

Take the padded seats. We've been going to DEGA over 20 years . Take your ear plugs. ENJOY.

Take a seat pad.
BTW, their website has a lot of information about their sections that have upgraded seating.
They are doing a big renovation adding more leg room and new seats.
Look it up.

Thanks for the replies.....we'll be carrying in cushions!!! Can hardly wait for the race to start and we get to be part of Junior Nation........go Dale Junior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh see now you have just ruined it. Dale Jr. - Really! He'll finish somewhere in the 12 to 15 spots. Just joking, he's one of those drivers that you either love him or hate him. I personally hate him.
I am rooting for Carl Edwards myself.
Have fun and post back your thoughts on the race and experience.

If they are in the Tower they are plastic and not metal, but i believe they are the type when you stand up the seat flips up and your cushion drops through the back of the seat.. but i would look at them if you go to the truck race so you'll know come Sunday...See ya there !!
